Moon Sugar to play Birmingham show

Moon Sugar

Moon Sugar are an alternative, indie rock & roll outfit from Birmingham, UK that formed in 2014. Originally formed as a 3 piece (consisting of Dave Cross, Jon Williams and Adee Shaw), they started out gigging small social/sports clubs to friends and family. As the need for a bassist and drummer intensified, Moon Sugar recruited the skills of Ellis and Chris on Drums and Bass respectively.

Support slots at popular venues around Birmingham followed, as did the original crowd supporting them as a 3 piece. Successful shows and fond interest from new fans were cemented with the band, which then led them to headline shows at venues such as the O2 Academy & The Rainbow Digbeth. The most notable support slots for the band have been Alfie Bird & The Oobleck to support Reverend and the Makers and at The Rainbow to support Niall Marr’s Man Made both of which drew in a larger following from 2015 for Moon Sugar. Recent history has seen Moon Sugar appear on TV for a slot at Big Centre TV and record a self titled debut EP featuring tracks ‘Justify’, ‘Circles’ and ‘Enemy’.
