Indoor Pets – aka the band formerly known as Get Inuit, who’ve given us such gems as ‘All My Friends’ and ‘Teriyaki’ – are back with a brand new track!
Self-produced by the band themselves, ‘So Soon’ continues their streak of noisy yet buoyant tunes with more than a few hooks. Clocking it at just under three minutes, it’s a burst of fuzzed-out guitar riffs combined with soaring pop sensibilities.
Speaking of the track, frontman Jamie Glass says: “‘So Soon’ is quite different to any other Indoor Pets song,” he says. “I wanted to just write a love song, and ignore the voices in my head that say that all signs of positivity need to be taken with a pinch of salt. I always avoided writing love songs because it felt forced and slightly unobtainable. ‘So Soon’ demonstrates that even the most cynical can fall in love. Hard too. And it caught me out, big time”.
Indoor Pets are headed off on a UK tour next month, kicking off in Birmingham.
