MARTHA’S NEEDLE
Formed in 2017, Martha’s Needle are a Birmingham, UK-based alt-rock band fronted by brothers Rich and Matt Tregortha, as well as bassist Chris Ward and Stuart Anderson on drums.
Having performed in bands such Wiseacre and Since Monroe, the Tregorthas continued to write music for a new project that would later become the band we now know. After playing many shows across the UK to try out their material, the band wasted little time to get into the studio and lay down an EP that would fiercely demonstrate their musical prowess.
‘Yesterdaydream’ was released in 2018 as a result of those sessions, and was praised by fans for its lively melodies and satisfying guitar riffs that evoked the likes Weezer, Heatmiser, and Manic Street Preachers. The EP was produced at So Called Studios Birmingham by Ryan Lowry.? Martha’s Needle are currently working on their debut studio album which is scheduled for release late 2022.
