Following a string of critically acclaimed singles, Sam Fender has revealed a brand new video for his latest track ‘Millennial’.
Sam explains: “‘Millennial’ is a tongue-in-cheek response to the media’s negative portrayal of young people in the 21st century. It plays on the notion that we (millennials) are ‘young and dumb’ freeloading idiots that expect a hand out from society. It plays on issues such as fake news and our addiction to screens and social media.”
He picked up the guitar at the age of 8 and the Newcastle native first made a name for himself on the live circuit some years later, securing support slots with some of the most well-respected bands and songwriters on the planet (Catfish and the Bottlemen, Hozier, Willy Mason, Ben Howard, Daughter, Michael Kiwanuka). He’s toured with the likes of Nick Mulvey, Vant and George Ezra and last year went across Europe alongside both Bear’s Den and Declan McKenna.
Sam Fender plays The Sunflower Lounge on Mon 5th March 2018, with support from Brooke Bentham and Riscas. Tickets available here.
