Coming up this week at The Sunflower Lounge we have Failure By Design Records’ finest Weatherstate on Tuesday. Wednesday sees ambient eletronic-pop artist Stevie Parker from Bristol. Friday is the EP Launch from Birmingham punk band Ideal Club, and Saturday sees Brooklyn trio Las Rosas bring their lo-fi rock & roll swagger. Check out the full listings below:

Failure By Design Records’ finest Weatherstate return to Birmingham after a recent sold out show on their tour with Trash BoatWSTR and local boys Coast to Coast UK. Their track ‘Symphony’ recently premiered on BBC Radio 1. Support comes from Brighton pop-punk band Six Time Champion, pop-punk alt Lying For Friends, emo punk Home Schooled, and The Young & Restless. Presented by Surprise You’re Dead.

Bristol-based Stevie Parker delivers a unique take on ambient electronic pop. Having supported the likes of SOAKGeorgiaAlex G and Adam French, as well as playing a show for the famous fashion icon Markus Lupfer, Stevie is certainly already turning heads. Support comes from Bryony Williams, who recently released her new EP taking elements of alt-americana, grunge and slowcore, and singer-songwriter Eve Pitt. Presented by Birmingham Promoters.

FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY

After a year of captivating live audiences, UK punk band Ideal Club are set to play their EP launch, with songs inspired by life in the second city. Poking fun at press and politics, the band have an acerbic wit, matched by a colossal punk sound. Support comes from pop-punk quartet Beaumont and alt/math rock power trio Thousand Mountain. Presented by Birmingham Promoters.

SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY

Las Rosas + Plastic Factory + LCKD + Callum Kerrigan

The first two EP’s from Brooklyn trio Las Rosas were re-released as a compilation, Flower in the Sun + Ms. America. This is a set of 7 enduring lo-fi rock & roll songs, serving as an homage to the band’s beginning stages. There is enough quirk, swagger, and harmony found on these 45’s to resonate from the beaches of California to the pubs and clubs of New York. Support comes from alternative rock & roll band Plastic Factory, grunge/alt band LCKD, and lo-fi singer-songwriter Callum Kerrigan. Presented by Sonic Gun.
