Friday 4th sees Florida trio Merchandise headline, following the release of their new album, A Corpse Wired For Sound. Formed nearly a decade ago, galvanized by Tampa hardcore and inspired by its miscreant noise, the album signals a new chapter for Merchandise. Support comes from New York’s EZTV, and new Birmingham band Matters. Tickets are £9 advance, and available here.
Sat 5th sees the welcome return of Birmingham indie/synth/post-punk trio Victories at Sea. The band fuse a vivacious combination of brutalist electronic hooks, soaring post-punk guitars and dolorous wordplay, and have been championed by the likes of the NME, The Guardian, Clash and Radio X’s John Kennedy.
