World Speed Record feat. The Last Broadcast, The Monkey Butlers & Saint Angeles

World Speed Record stem from years of stylistic change and development as the four-piece from Birmingham, UK worked to find a sound of their own. Brothers Ben and Tom Phillips became hooked on making music as young teens in a house filled with guitar-based classics, and soon began performing throughout the UK, leading them to meet bass player and close friend Alex Jones. Recent addition to the line-up is Jack Ensor, a renowned drummer amongst the local indie scene.
Sharing a love for The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Strokes, they aimed to produce a tight and infectious sound with their debut single ‘Lost In Between’ and the EP to follow later in 2022.
Following a depth of experience as a live band World Speed Record look to capture listeners with a fresh take on the rock and roll sound that’s so familiar…

he Last Broadcast is the recording moniker of singer songwriter Kyle Brook-McGurk. Melodic and soulful arrangements are synonymous with the project, and these often function as a vehicle to navigate and question the human condition. 90’s and 00’s influences shine in The Last Broadcast’s work, with nods to the likes of New Radicals, David Gray, Moby and All Saints.

For 5 years now The Monkey Butlers have been building a fantastic reputation for having one of the most energetic live shows out there. Incorporating both blues, jazz and classic rock into their signature impressive sound  -The Monkey Butlers are like no other! With their strong bond and unique style that can only be crafted from years of gigging, the fun is palpable and transmitted to all audiences. Once you’ve seen a Monkey Butlers show, you won’t forget it!
So come down and see the best live band around before they blow up. They’re destined for greatness?!

I am Saint Angeles.
