Is Bliss + Outlander + Exhailer + Spit
Is Bliss – Having received critical acclaim for their first two EP’s; ‘Velvet Dreams’ and the follow-up ‘The Honeycomb Explosion’, the south coast trio have been busy in the studio and have created a no nonsense, full on, psych induced jewel.
Formed via a shared love of Slowdive, Spacemen 3 and Verve, their incendiary live shows have caused a stir across the underground psych scene which has led to a swift rise for the band having formed in late 2015.
Signed to lauded London-based independent record label Club AC30 (Pinkshiunyultrablast/Ringo Deathstarr/Flyying Colours), Is Bliss have already supported the likes of The Jesus and Mary Chain, Wolf Alice, Telescopes, Nine Black Alps, Mark Gardener and Robin Guthrie in a whirlwind three years for the band.
Is Bliss have received a heavy dose of radio support from BBC Radio 6 Music including Lauren Laverne, Tom Ravenscroft and Radcliffe & Maconie along with BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.

Outlander – Birmingham quartet Outlander were formed in 2014 out of a mutual appreciation for the drawn out soundscapes of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the driving post-punk of Fugazi and the spacious introspection of Blue Tile lounge and Duster.
The resulting sound most often presents itself in the form of slow moving, lengthy, reverb-drenched movements deliberately exploring every dynamic crevice available.
Listen to ‘Sinking’ below:
Exhailers is a three-headed apeoid gestating in the cosmic womb; an art-rock experiment from the Midlands of nowhere; a spangled conglomerate of puss and goo dancing through the Void. Independent and strictly DIY, they do everything – writing, recording, mixing, mastering, releasing.
They exudes glistening melodies, lurching riffs and laments to being lost in space. Brandon Robinson’s guitar work creates heavy walls of fuzz, phasing seas that float, and solos of sporadic exuberance. Gliding atop this, Liv Barlow’s vocals undulate between indifference and reverence. Underneath, Fred Ensor’s drums provide a spasmodic heartbeat of accented rhythms and erratic flourishes.
Taking influence from the neo-psychedelia of Wand, Pond and Post-animal, to the doom of the Melvins, the crunch of Queens of the Stone Age and the edged alt-rock of Pixies and the Wytches.
“They’re aiming for something more unconventional, more daring. They’ve succeeded.”
