Hailing from Wolverhampton, Deaf Balloons are a four piece rock band, mixing dirty riffs, hard hitting drums and a singer-songwriter sensibility to bring the noise. They’re currently chained to their instruments, locked in a bunker, somewhere in the West Midlands working on their second EP “Black Country”, a not-quite-love letter to their home town and the music that made them, set for release on October 13th.

Raphaella Kornarskis are a saxophone-driven four-piece pop band from the Black Country named after an imaginary jazz trumpeter. They are inspired by Green Day, The Stone Roses, Metallica, Blondie, The Distillers and Gallows. Their past shows include headline gigs at Stourbridge’s Clap Trap venue and support slots for Petrol Girls, Soeur, Louise Distras, Zawe Zawe and Pollen. They have had their music featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music Mixtape and also BBC Radio West Midlands. The next year will see them playing more shows and recording a second EP.
