One of the UK’s most talked about guitar bands, Black Honey, are hitting the road this October on their first headline tour. The band haven’t stopped since releasing their addictive AA single ‘Madonna/Spinning Wheel’ back in February.
Kicking off with both songs premiering on Radio One by Annie Mac and Huw Stephens, the band then auctioned off the first 5 physical copies on Ebay for over £30 each. ‘Madonna’ went on to rack up over 750,000 plays on Spotify and is fast becoming one of the most blogged tracks of the year.
High profile support slots to The Cribs, Twin Peaks, Mini Mansions and Superfood then preceded a jam packed festival season with the band performing across all the city festivals including Live At Leeds, The Great Escape Festival, Dot to Dot Festival and Liverpool Sound City. In July they headed into Holland for a hugely successful set at the Metropolis Festival and over to Croatia for a slot on the same bill as Clean Bandit and The Vaccines at Croatia Rocks. Other summer highlights included playing on the main stage at Y Not Festival, packed performances at Kendal Calling and Tramlines and finishing off the festival season playing Reading and Leeds on the Festival Republic Stage.
